The Isle of Man's culinary scene is set to shine with the return of the Manx Menu competition!
Building on the success of its inaugural year, which garnered over 100 entries and thousands of public votes, this year's event introduces two exciting new awards. The Sustainability Award will recognise businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability through their operations and menu offerings. The Innovation Award will celebrate creativity and forward-thinking in the Isle of Man’s food and drink industry.
The introduction of the Sustainability Award underscores the island's dedication to environmentally conscious practices and is aligned to our whole-nation Biosphere values.
Local businesses and producers are encouraged to display their culinary creations and highlight the island's rich local produce. With entries closed, it’s not the public’s turn to play their pivotal role in the contest, with customers invited to vote and rate their Manx Menu experiences using a QR code, or the dedicated website. Feedback focuses on dish quality and customer service, ensuring that the winners truly reflect the preferences of the community.
A panel of expert judges will also support the voting process, reviewing key factors such as the percentage of Manx ingredients utilised, range of innovation, and sustainability. Both the public votes and views of the panel will come together to support the final awarding decisions.
